Works:
Cleaning monolith monument, raking out joints, repointing and lime stain removal. A scaffold access system was required to provide a safe working environment within which to execute the following conservation treatments. Many of the following treatments are weather dependant requiring the scaffolding working platform to feature protection from wind, rain and strong sunlight.
Remedial works included removal of biological growth, cracks associated with oxide jacking, impact damage, previous repairs, disaggregation, malicious damage, marker pen applied graffiti , and vehicular damage to plinth.
