NBSC has established itself as one of the UK's leading conservation and restoration companies, having fought off competition from rivals,to be awarded the contract to conserve and restore Rosslyn Chapel in Scotland, undoubtedly the most important conservation work taking place in the UK today.
We employ over 20 experts with specialist skills ranging from stone conservation, stone masonry, gilding, replication, conservation of historic bronze, historic lead and 21st Century materials. Our experts also provide advice and consultancy services. New techniques are of particular interest to staff,who are continually renewing and updating their skills and expertise through training courses and attending conferences on specialist subjects.
NBSC prides it's commitment to training the next generation of stone conservators by offering a fully paid internship every year, in collaboration with ICON, the Institute of Conservation.
Most projects can be worked on in situ, or transported by us to our workshop in Edinburgh. Our team of specialists are available to work on projects through out the UK and Worldwide.
