Carved Stone Panels

Midsteeple, Dumfries, Scotland, 2010

Works:

A complete new carved relief panel depicting the Scottish Coat of Arms was given a polychrome coat of mineral paint before gilding and adding silver leaf. The second part of this project was the conservation of the St Michael carved relief stone, depicting St Michael, the Patron saint of Dumfries.

After the conservation treatment, the stone was given a polychrome chrome coat of mineral paint, then it was gilded and silver leafed.
