Nic Boyes
Nic Boyes (BA Hons, P.G.Dip Arch Stone Cons.), trained in architectural stone conservation at Weymouth College and subsequently worked for a well-established conservation firm based in the South West of England. Nic Boyes then spent over six years working within Historic Scotland at the Historic Scotland Conservation Centre in Edinburgh before starting Nicolas Boyes Stone Conservation in January 2000.
 
Anabela Machado
Anabela Machado joined our conservation team here in Scotland in the summer of 2003. Born and educated in Portugal, Ana’s first degree was in Conservation & Restoration, before further studies in the History of Art. Her professional experiences in the conservation of furniture, sculpture, paintings and gold works, together with her extensive knowledge of art history, brings a valuable contribution to our conservation team and varied works here in Britain.
 
Greig Sivills
Greig Sivills was born in Edinburgh, but grew up in Hong Kong. He completed a four year apprenticeship in stone masonry at St. Mary’s Cathedral Workshop, Edinburgh in 1999. He was invited by the Workshop to stay as a tradesman to teach new apprentices, which he did for 18 months following St. Mary's. Greig’s other passion is music, which he studied for three years. He plays drums in Nixie Kye who were signed in 2003 to Molotov Records. Greg has been working with NBSC since June of 2003.
 
Harry Beale Collins
Harry Beale Collins' primary occupation is in conservation, with a making and restoration background. It was cabinet making, which got him interested in restoration, which in turn led him to complete a degree in conservation in 1995. His career path has allowed him to work on some major architectural conservation projects such as the House of Commons and St. Paul’s Cathedral and more recently with the Royal Artillery Museum working on their collection of military models. Harry, a ‘Kentish Man’, is an ardent Chelsea supporter.
 
Jeroen Boel
Jeroen Boel joined NBSC in December 2003. Born in Belgium, Jeroen obtained his Masters in the Conservation of Stone and Sculpture in Antwerp with a specialisation in stone carving. His studies allowed him to partake in the Socrates exchange in Poland, where he gained valuable experience in the conservation of gypsum artefacts at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts and the National Museum in Cracow.
 
Kerry Samantha Boyes
Kerry Samantha Bowes Originally from Northumberland, Kerry crossed the border to join NBSC in January 2003. Following her first degree in the Fine Arts she spent time working on excavations and in museums across the length of Hadrian’s Wall World Heritage Site. More recently, during her time working in the curatorial sector of English Heritage, she completed her Masters in Museum Studies at Newcastle University.
