Nicolas Boyes Stone Conservation is a company that specialises
in the practical and consultative conservation of carved and decorative
stonework, sculpture, statuary architectural decoration and historic
building fabric throughout Scotland and Northern England. We are
experienced in the conservation of:
- Neolithic Standing Stones
- Pictish Symbol Stones
- Ecclesiastical sculpture (memorials, grave markers
and effigies)
- Sculpture (historic and contemporary, private and
municipal)
- Statuary (garden and municipal)
- Historic building fabric (façade, ruinous

Nicolas Boyes Stone Conservation provides conservation treatments
to subjects both carved and modelled from materials such as sandstone,
limestone, granite, marble, alabaster, lime plaster and terracotta.
Currently, the company works in conjunction with Lynton Lasers
Ltd – manufacturers of the Phoenix Conservation Laser for
the sensitive and selective removal of soiling and corrosion products.
Nicolas Boyes Stone Conservation also provides specific training
courses in conservation techniques for both groups and individuals.
